2/16 v. G'Town

Another year, another whooping of G'Town in the Dome. And to think, a few free throws and some decent shot selection and we would be 2-0 against the "#1 Team in the Big East". Woulda, shoulda.

Game ball: AO
Honorable mention: Jackson's 4 minutes, and Johnny "Sherm" Flynn, THE ZONE

Good: Flynn's brilliant drawing of fouls against Dr. Hibbert. Double Zero's O boards in the last few minutes. Harris' outside shooting. AO all day, all long. The refs sucking their whistles early. What's that I see, is that, is that?.... Jim Boeheim's Zone Defense! We missed you!

Bad: Dante' Greene. Every game I like him less and less. We know he's gonna be a lottery pick. Now my new question is this: if we replaced him with Preston Shumpert would the team be better? Not even Senior year Shumpert, even Soph-year, "who is this guy, just reading the line scores you probably thought he is a dorky white guy" Shumpert. Didn't get drafted, could barely play in Europe Shumpert. My answer is a definitive yes. If I have to hear any more announcer apologies, or see any more fast breaks end with Flynn passing it off to a streaking Dante' I am going to evoke the name of DeShawn Williams.

He is not a good enough shooter to justify the shots he takes. And when he passed it insidde to AO it actually went well! Pass you horrible reincarnation of DeShawn. [From here on out DeShawn will be known as "The Unofficial 2003 SU Championship MVP"]

Misunderstood: Paul Harris. Take a deep breath Boeheim. You know what you are getting with Harris. Big O-boards, lots of energy, but occasionally that baby starts to red line. And then who knows what will happen. Could be a vs. Villanova YouTube moment, or an O-foul with 30 sec on the shot clock.

Scoop is straight playground... Oganut looked sane.. Jimmy did some coaching... G'Town is overrated... our team is schitzophrenic [sic]

If THE ZONE looks like that, we might salvage a few of the wins coming up against the big boys. More later, still a lot of bugs in the system.
